to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands." My trip to Honduras, summed up in one verse! Such a great experience! Words cannot even describe my time there. I was able to show love to the broken world through my actions instead of words. So many times throughout life I have used my voice instead of hands to speak. I fail miserably, usually making noise. I was concerned about going to a Central America with my weak espanol skills. But it turned out to be a true blessing! Communicating to kids with touch opened my eyes immensely, showing me the only way to show the LOVE of Christ. Thank You for the support and prayers! Enjoy the Pictures!

HONDURAS!

I am leaving for Honduras today! I know, I know...most of you are thinking what the heck Amber, you just left the canyon and now you're leaving AGAIN? WELL, I did just get to Eugene Oregon a week ago and got settled in...but the Lord led me to another adventure to Honduras. I will be going with World Wide Heart to Heart Ministries where we will be spending time at the local orphanage. Below is their website if you want to check it out! Please be praying for safety while I am there and that the Lord would use me to spread love to the kiddos!

Make that heart happy...

Summer is OVER! holy cow. I cannot believe it! WOW- what an experience. I got to share with ya'all how 1st session went...WELL 2nd and 3rd rocked too! Each month was different in their own ways, but they shared one thing in common- they all made me come ALIVE. The Lord has really revealed to me that deep, REAL relationships fill me with GLOWING joy. This summer I got a chance to learn, change, LIVE LIFE, LOVE, and GROW closer to the Lord with some AMAZING ladies. I am SO thankful for the truth that has been spoken to my heart. It is OH, SO important to make sure we are doing things that bring us JOY, that fill us UP, that give us LIFE. SO, the question of the day is.....

WHAT MAKES YOUR HEART HAPPY?

You have filled my heart with great JOY

One word...AMAZING. I couldn't have asked for a better session. I was blessed with 4 ladies who ROCKED my world. Words cannot describe them or our experience! We shared life together for 3 weeks, but what felt like 3 years. We got to work together, laugh together, cry together, and just BE together. Days were long and my body was weak, but the Lord and them were the 2 things that kept me going. I am oh, so THANKFUL for being able to have them in my heart. It was hard to let them go and head into second session...but I know the Lord has planted a seed in each of us and that are hearts will continue to grow together. SAM, MAGGIE, DOTTIE, and HANNAH if you're reading this...I LOVE YA'LL! It's not goodbye, it's c ya later ;]

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

HOLY crap.

Summer is here. What I have been preparing for these last 8 months has arrived! Summer staff rolled in today and campers come on Saturday! OHHHHH baby. I am so excited to take part in this adventure. I am so blessed to have a job that brings me LIFE. What a privilege to serve the Lord and demonstrate his overflowing LOVE. I get to work along side an amazing community, get to grow and do life with summer staff girls, and pour LOVE into the kiddos.

Surprise!

As April approached and missing Momma grew, I decided a trip home was necessary. Thoughts started to stir and a brilliant idea came to my mind...SURPRISE. OH YES! If you know my mom you would know that she HATES surprises, and LOVES being in control. If you don't know my mom, well you should! So with that in mind I decided she needed her tail feathers ruffled a little, a surprise trip home was the answer. I got everything worked out and made connections with "my people", and on April 25th I left Oregon and headed back to Minnesota. I am so glad I got to spend time with my dear family and friends, it filled my heart. But what I am truly fortunate for is being able to see the look on my mom's beautiful face when she saw me. Mother's day is next weekend and I am bummed that I won't get to give my mom a huge hug. But for everyone who has the opportunity SHOULD! Give your Momma's some LOVE! They deserve it!

6 MONTHS!

First off, I want to say SORRY for waiting a whole month to blog! Second, I want to do a little dance because it is my 6 month ANNIVERSARY of my internship! HOLY COW! We have to fill out a 6 month evaluation for the program, so I thought I would share some of my heart and where it's at with the whole thing...
